NETWORK A computer network or data network is a telecommunications network which allows nodes to share resources. The connections between nodes are established using either cable media or wireless media. Computer networks support an enormous number of applications and services such as access to the World Wide Web Use of email and instant messaging applications as well as many others. WHY TO USE File sharing: Networking of computers helps the network users to share data files Application sharing: Applications can be shared over the network, and this allows to implement client/server application User communication: Networks allow users to communicate using e-mail, newsgroups, and video conferencing etc. WIFI Like mobile phones, a WiFi network makes use of radio waves to transmit information across a network Having no physical connections, it is more vulnerable to attack than wired connections, such as Ethernet.
